Outside the Box!

It continues to amaze us how often we aim to do something that seems to be simple but in reality is very complex and outside of the box! Let me explain my adventure today. We have one week until we go down to Bangkok, where we could be down there as long as 6 weeks to 2 months. So, Jacob and I say to each other we better make sure all of the bills are paid up to date. All of our bills are paid with auto pay but our internet. So, I was given the task to go pay our internet for August and September because to an American it would be bad to pay it late. I go into the office and give her a sheet of paper with our phone number written on it and she looks up our account. And she looks at the account. And she looks at the phone number. And looks at the account. Finally, she tells me it will be a moment and I haven't figure out what the problem is yet but it is about to come to me. One of the other people gets off the phone and she tells him the dilemma and he looks bewildered. Yet another person eventually tells me I don't owe anything. So, I try to explain we are leaving town and need to pay early. I finally resort to pointing to my belly and say, "I go to Bangkok to have baby." "OH!" they respond and suddenly they understand. However, it took another five minutes and I'm wondering if she had to over ride the system so I could pay early?!? I'm not quite sure why it was so hard, but I learned today that paying a bill early is outside of the box!!
