Libraries
There have been some books I have wanted to look at but didn't know if I really wanted to buy them so I have been waiting for the wonderful world of libraries. We went to the library a couple weeks ago for story time but that just didn't seem like a good time to search for some books. I had seen something about their catalog online and checked it out. What a wonderful tool for a mom of young children! I remember their online catalog when I was in high school...it was really difficult to navigate through and it was DOS based. Now you can hold books, select where you want to pick them up AND one of the libraries near us has a drive-up window! We drove up, gave them our library card and they handed us our books! How cool is that?!

I'm so jealous of the drive through window! What a great idea. It takes me way longer to get the girls in and out of the car than it does to walk in, hand them my card and have them hand me the books on the shelf behind the desk. My library is being renovated right now so maybe the new one will have a drive through window. A girl can dream can't she?
ReplyDeleteShe sure can! Hopefully you'll end up with a drive through window but being able to have the books held for you is great too--when in Asia can you do anything that fast?!
