We got back into a routine this week with Keely going back to preschool. We also started preparations and celebrating Christmas (because it's really a month-long celebration, right?)

My parents made everyone's favorite Chex Mix. Keely was super excited when she saw it cooling on the counter and Jordan pulled her stool up to start enjoying right away!

Yummy!

We started out the month doing a craft a day.

This day we made hand print wreaths.

It got cooler this week and my big winter coat came out. Keely was intrigued and couldn't help wearing it around the house a little while.

Keely did get some special Papa time.

Jordan enjoyed making a gluing strips of paper to make a candy cane.

We started a new tradition thanks to Aunt Susan, Elf on the Shelf. Unfortunately I never got a picture of our Elf, Deacon (or sometimes renamed Kitty). This night Jacob was reading the book that went along with to introduce this tradition. The Elf goes to a new location every day to watch and make sure the girls are good. The girls loved looking for Deacon every morning.

Life got crazy so we finally decided to shop for our annual Christmas ornaments online. Unfortunately this wasn't a good idea because we didn't know which ornaments were popular and were no longer available. The next week Papa, Jordan and I went to seven Hallmarks looking for a particular ornament-- in the end Keely had to pick a new ornament. We'll remember to buy our ornaments earlier next time!
