This Week's Funnies

Monday- In the morning, Keely asked for green yogurt. I told her we didn't have any. Later in the afternoon she requested green milk. Again, I told her we didn't have any. At dinner, I asked her if she wanted a sandwich and she responded, "No, I want green eggs and ham." "We don't have any green eggs and ham," I replied. "Okay, I'll have a sandwich." (Can you tell what book we have been reading?)

Tuesday (all morning)- The night before, Jacob backed our truck into our driveway. Keely didn't seem to notice that night. However, when I opened the door in the morning she noticed that the back of the truck was at the doorway. All morning when she would look outside, she would look at me and say, "Mommy the bye-bye is funny." And she would giggle. She did this several times. Then when we went to get in the truck later on, she tried to get in on Jordan's side and wouldn't believe me that she was on the other side until I opened the door and showed her. Again she giggled and said that is funny.

Tuesday mid-morning- We went to shopping center to play in the play area. After playing, we went up to the grocery store to buy some fruit. We went up a different escalator and found grocery carts that had Little Tyke Cars under them. The problem was that I was pushing Jordan in the stroller. After lots of discussion, I pushed both the Car cart and the stroller through store. At least we only needed fruit, however, I forgot to get my fruit weighed and priced in the produce section and had to go back after getting in the check out line. I'm sure I was a sight.

Tuesday night- Jacob and Keely were already doing their night time routine when Jordan and I came in with something for them. When I entered I heard Jacob saying, "No, it's not funny call out for mommy." Come to find out, Keely's ball had fallen behind our bed and Jacob put his arm through the slats to get it and got his arm stuck. Keely thought he was just playing. He did get it out.

Thursday- We went to playgroup at a play area at a one of the malls. Jordan was sitting on the side of the ball pit and one of the other kids came up to talk to her. Keely was in the middle of the balls and noticed and said, "Hey that's my sister." I told her it was ok for someone else to talk to her. Her response was, "No, you can't play with my sister!"

Friday- It's hot. Really hot right now. Even in the morning. While I was trying to get breakfast ready for everyone, my patience was already growing thin. I was cutting Jordan's breakfast when Keely came up to me and asked me where her water was. I hadn't gotten her water yet, so it was no where. However, I didn't have the energy to explain and had nothing nice to say so I decided to say nothing at all. This did not please Keely and she kept asking. After the 100th time she says, "Mommy, look at me. Where is my water?" Can you tell what Jacob and I say when we are trying to get her attention?

  2. Those are so cute.

And you're a nicer mommy than I am. :) When I had the stroller at Big C, Aidan wasn't allowed to ride in the "car carts," much to his annoyance. Haha. I can just imagine you trying to push both at the same time--those carts are big!

  3. SouthAsiaRocks- The funniest part when Jacob got his arm stuck was that Keely that it was a joke and wouldn't help him!

The Everett Family- I'm not sure I'm a nicer mommy or more of a push over mommy! That day we had already had a few melt downs after leaving the play area and I couldn't handle another one--especially with the way people crowd around and watch! She didn't want to get out to leave and I had a crowd just watching and laughing! What fun, what fun, huh?
