Just Checking In

As you can see, I haven't gotten back to blogging yet. Life continues to be crazy! For the past 10 days, Jacob has been helping lead meetings that has had him away from home from 8 am to 10 pm almost every day -- he got to come home early a couple days. The girls have had a really rough time. Keely has acted out a lot more than usual and has had several melt downs in the middle of the mtr station as we have been trying to get to our bus to get home! Both girls have had trouble sleeping -- both at night and at nap time. It would take me between an hour and two hours every night to get one or both girls to sleep! Jordan had trouble going to sleep at night (and this is the child that I normally can just lay down and she's asleep) for 10 nights in a row (it actually started 2 days before Jacob's meetings and ended 2 days before they ended!). Whew! I'm exhausted! Then of course lots of other exciting things have been going on because of course when it rains it pours! But I'll wait until another post of those stories!!

Update: It took Jordan 3 hours to get to sleep tonight! I just don't know what's going on with her!! And Keely told me tonight at bedtime that she was upset with Jacob because he had been gone. Oh my girls are so sensitive!

  1. Hey girl. Just thinking of you! Our little guy gets so wound up when he doesn't get time with his Papa. I bet your girls are just working out all this constant change. Hang in there. Wish we could meet up at Charlie Brown Cafe for lunch!

  3. Hey Sara--that sounds pretty rough! You poor thing! Lucas has been on the same page as Jordan lately--taking an hour or more to fall asleep at night, waking up multiple times at night, and getting up for the day WAY too early (before 6 am). I am chalking it up to all of the travel and stress and am hoping it works out soon. I hope your girls sleep better for you soon, too!

We're going through a lot of changes right now too... I'm in a constant state of stress lately it seems like (great for the baby)... I'm sorry it's so crazy for you. Is Jacob's schedule going to get easier soon?
