October: Reading and Dressing Up

I'm pretty behind!! However, I get a little bored catching up on every little thing we have done and am never able to get back into the swing of blogging. Maybe I will never get back into the swing of blogging! However, I'm definitely going to try another strategy in order to get to the present to see if I'll get back into it!

October was reading month at Keely's school. One of the special events that had was a reading night where the children came in their PJ's! Keely has wanted to go to school in her PJ's ever since she was 3 and saw the 4-year-old class do it at her school in Hong Kong!! Of course Jordan was just excited to be with Keely! The children got to choose two different classrooms to go to where a story was read to them and then they did an activity to go along with it. We ran into Keely's good friend, Melanie, and the girls chose to go to the same classrooms.

The girls sharing an instrument on their part of "The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly."

Jordan chose the drums for her part.

The evening ended with cookies and milk.

Later in the month, there was a storybook parade. Children could come to school dressed up as a storybook character, and all of them were introduced at the all school assembly that day.

Keely was Snow White.

The children in Keely's class that dressed up.

Some of our friends were going to attend the assembly and let their younger children come dressed up as well. We decided to go also and let Jordan go to her school late so she could dress up too.
Jordan was Belle.

All of her little friends ended up being princesses too!

She even got to go up on stage, and thought that was pretty special!!

The last Saturday of the month, some of us mom's had a fall festival in the courtyard of our apartment. We had games, snacks and even a pumpkin that was carved. The girls also spend time with special friends.

It was a busy, but very fun month!!
