Last week Jacob was ordained through Skype at our local club in the States. The service began at 6pm Central time -- 7am Hong Kong time. Right as Jacob was connecting with them before the service, both girls got up. While Jacob listened and watched the song service the girls colored at the door of the office...just like at club! While he spoke we went and ate breakfast because I didn't think we could stay that quiet! After he spoke we all came in so everyone could see us. Then at the end of the service the girls got to talk to Mimi and Papa for a minute. It amazes me what we can do through technology. I remember not that long ago when I lived in Nepal and talked to my parents once a month on the phone because it was so expensive. Jacob and I would mostly instant message with some talking over the computer but many times my connection was horrible. So I never imagined Jacob being ordained over Skype!
