Better be prepared!
I haven't been here long enough to really know what I need to carry with me to be prepared for most anything. I carry diapers, wipes, changing pad, plastic bags (for disposing diapers in odd places or for soiled clothes), changes of clothes, water cups, Jordan's milk cup and box of soy milk, snacks, mints cell phone, ipod, money, octopus card, reusable shopping bag (we'll be charged or plastic bags starting in July), antibacterial soap, bug spray (there are biting gnats at the park), handful of small toys, umbrella (sometimes two if we leave when it's raining) and tissues. The other day, I was by myself with the girls. We went to play at the playground before we got on the train to meet Jacob to pick up our permanent ID cards (these were just our temporary ones). As we were about to get on the last escalator to the train, Keely's shoes start hurting her feet. I carried her to the escalator and convinced her to ride it down and walk onto the train - which happened to be right there when we got down. I remembered putting some band-aids in my bag the day we were traveling to Hong Kong. I just happened to try the right pocket first and squatting on the moving train while Keely held onto the bar I managed to put a band-aid on her blister. PTL I had a band aid. No way could I have carried her and Jordan around Hong Kong!! Anyone have any other suggestions of things I should have on hand that I haven't thought of (hopefully it's small and light though!).
